A photo is never just a photo: that image printed on glossy paper, hung on a wall or kept in an album is the result of a process of transformation. A contemporary portrait is a transformational experience, a catalyst for new awareness. It is a SPA for the soul. Do you think I’m exaggerating? Trust me, it’s not like that! Let me explain …
Contemporary portraits and the connection with self-esteem
When was the last time you felt really beautiful? When was the last photo in which you really recognize yourself? I bet that the answer will not come immediately, indeed, perhaps you will not know how to answer.
Often everyday life leads to losing contact with certain parts of oneself: taken as we are by wearing a thousand hats in everyday life, we end up neglecting our most intimate essence.
The fact is that there is a very close link between our image and the approach we have towards life. The difference between the ideal vision we have of us and the real image, how others see us, helps to strengthen or weaken our self-esteem: the more the real resembles the ideal, the higher our self-esteem will be, and the other way around.
Often those suffering from low self-esteem tend to escape this confrontation: typically it will be that person who never wants to appear in photos. Maybe you know her too well …

The truth, on the other hand, is that photography can be of great help in increasing self-esteem and helping us to love ourselves more: this is my goal as a portrait photographer.
The artistic portrait: a SPA for the soul
Photographic portraits for me have the mission of revealing the hidden beauty in every person, and especially in women. I help them to discover and accept themselves more, capturing their essence and inner light and immortalizing their unique and personal beauty.
A portrait photo shoot is a journey where you face your fears and insecurities, learning to overcome them. It is an experience that frees you from discomfort in the face of a foreign gaze, but also in the face of the implacable gaze that too often we women turn to ourselves.
For this reason, the contemporary portrait shooting is a real “SPA for the soul”, it is an act of self-care, a special moment where every woman can allow herself to be fully herself, or be able to see herself for the first time in a different way.
When you look at the result of the shooting – that moment that I call the “REVEAL” -, you will see yourself as for the first time, with new eyes, you will rediscover yourself as beautiful as it hasn’t happened for some time. This is the power that photography has to change things.

That’s why the portrait photo shoot will be a transformative experience, which will give you beautiful images to keep always with you, to never forget who you really are … or who you can be!
Posing for a contemporary portrait will lead you to work on the image of yourself you want to achieve, to become familiar with your gestures and expressions. The expert guide of the portrait photographer helps you to enhance your distinctive features, which will finally appear in a new light.
At the same time, during the session you can leave everyday problems out and finally take care of yourself, just like in a SPA. You will be the center of attention: maybe you are not used to it but trust me, you will like it. The result will be a wonderful artistic portrait that will talk about you.
Female photographic portraits inspired by the boudoir style
The portrait session that I offer has a lot in common with boudoir photography, which immortalizes women of all kinds who wish to express their femininity in a bold but elegant way.

It is no coincidence that in 18th century France the boudoir was a private room reserved for confidences and chat, where women could be themselves, away from prying eyes and social judgments.
The boudoir style is natural, never aggressive, and enhances the well-rounded female body, including what a woman might consider flaws. There is no judgment, there are no sizes or aesthetic standards in which to fall, but only the intention to grasp the true nature of women and make them feel as beautiful as they are.
These contemporary portraits are a journey into oneself that allows you to learn to accept your body as it is, managing to grasp its external beauty and consequently also its internal one.
Woman Project: photo portraits of women for female empowerment
I believe so much in the transformative power of the contemporary portrait that I created a special photographic project, “WOMAN ESSENCE”, dedicated to female empowerment.

“WOMAN ESSENCE” is open to 30 women who want to get involved, to change the way they see themselves and to inspire other women.
I invite you to a photo session with me that could change the way you see yourself …
